Yay! I got blogged – love Ziska’s new kit!

Recently I’ve had time to do some scrapping, so here’s a couple about Emily…
This one of her at 12 days – with some vintage photo effects I learnt about from Jessica Sprague’s course.
Her first visit to the park at 8 1/2 weeks
We had a wonderful time in Perth in July for Emily to meet her rellies too!
She’s doing really well and has been sleeping through the night for the last a couple of weeks and has even started trying to do lizard sits (push herself up off her tummy). Her first proper one with fully straightened arms was for Daddy last night!
Our little blessing, Emily Celeste Shanhun entered the world at 1:25pm on the 2nd of June, just a couple of days early. Weighing 3.07 kg (6lb 12 oz) and 48 cm long.
It was a blessing that Mum Okely happened to be in town for the long weekend and she could stay on for the week. In Emily’s first days she was also able to meet Mum Shanhun, and my Dad, Lauren, John and Caitlin. We can’t wait to come to Perth and show her off to the rest of the family.
Emily’s doing really well with her sleeping and loves meeting people, she’s such a little sweetheart and has just started to smile.
I'm going really well pregnancy wise but I've had a cold so that's been annoying. I saw the doctor yesterday and all looks good for the baby to arrive soon (head's engaged etc). I've been some walking in an attempt to help it on it's way! Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly!
My parents are up for the long weekend so hopefully 'Pebble' may even arrive a little early.
We've pretty much had everything ready for the last week or so, Phill's still working on renovating the cot that I and my brothers and sisters had. Yes, it is practically a family heirloom now! We do have a bassinette for the first couple of months. We are both pretty keen for the baby to arrive now, so I'm trying to keep myself occupied with little bits and pieces to do at home.
I’m really excited to be an aunty - our first nephew Jake was born on the 12th (I got to see him as we were in Perth for Phill's work) – Daniel and Amberley’s precious new boy is so adorable! A couple of other friends from church had babies on the 14th and 19th and one of Phill’s engineering mates had their baby on the 23rd so it’s all go on the baby front!
I guess next time I blog, it will be to let you know of our happy news – each day is a day closer to the arrival!
I got blogged :) I make this card for Phill for our 2nd anniversary. How exciting to see it on the web!
And this week, instead of highlighting some of our New Releases, I’m going to show off some of the fab new release creations from recent weeks! Let’s have a look shall we (the images are all linked too).
I got blogged:

I had a fun day. After getting up at 4:30 to open my cards and pressies (thanks everyone!) before Phill went to work (he had a shutdown so an extra early start) I headed to church for service planning (Easter services). I love catching up with Ros for lunch and then did a bit of shopping.
Once Phill got home I was able to open up the present he gave me (well it was a rather large box!) You can see the present here:
I’ve been wanting a new chair for a while and this will be perfect for feeding Pebble in! It glides rather than rocks – very cool! And the footstool glides too! I love it! :)
Thanks to Becky we had a yummy tea with friends before heading off to antenatal classes so that was really nice.

I've been planning to update you all on our South West trip - but I just haven't quite got around to it yet! I've been putting some photos up on Picasa - just email me if you'd like a link.
Needless to say, we loved our trip and though I was pretty tired we stayed well and still got to see quite a few things! The weather in Margaret River, Pemberton, Walpole and Denmark was lovely but the second day in Albany it turned very overcast for Bremer Bay and Esperance. We managed to run into plenty of people we knew - even Phill's boss from Kal happened to be waiting at the tourist tram in Pemberton!
In February we had visitors from Perth - Natalie, Lauren and Caitlin, which was great fun. We took in a few of the sights - the Town Hall, Boulder Sweet Shop, the Superpit and of course the Hall of Fame with its underground tour and gold panning. We also got to enjoy a free concert by the Fab Four (Beatles Tribute Band) at Centennial Park 13-18 February 2009
In March we had Dad S up for a few days for work, so that was great to see him, though Phill had 2 days of shutdowns and a trip to Perth, so he didn't see too much of his dad, we did manage to catch up for dinner. Plus I enjoyed a couple of lunches at Bliss Cafe. I love the fact that we have such a great cafe just down the road. Literally 2mins drive!
Last Saturday night some friends from church all went to the last Sunset at the Soundshell Concert, it was a fun night, with lovely weather, great company and an awesome bring and share dinner.
The weather here is cooling down (27-30 most days) so Phill and I are going for a walk most evenings, sadly the hospital doesn't have enough interested mums to run their usual exercise classes at the moment, but I'm on the list, hopefully it will start soon. We've started antenatal classes and I managed to make it through the first one without fainting! Phill's finished making the change table, we've just got our basinet set up and I'm just itching to get everything set up. But as Phill says Pebble's not due for 11 more weeks so I'd better leave some stuff to do then!
At the moment Phill's away for work, but he's able to get a quick trip to Townsville in to see Grandad which is a great opportunity, as we probably won't make it to Queensland this year - strangely enough we have something else happening in June, when we usually go! :)
I got blogged for my Wedding Day Layout at Studio Matters:
I created this layout with Impressions of Heritage using Wendyzine's Template, Flergs Alpha and Ziska's Mini Kit
Here's the larger version of the layout:
My grandparent's wedding day,
12 January 1946. They married at Prahran Methodist Church, Melbourne in Royal Australian Airforce and Women's Auxiliary Australian Air Forces uniform. Both served in Signals during World War 2
As seems to be the tradition we were back Perth a couple of times in December, with Simon and Angela's wedding on the 13th and Phill's 27th on the 14th. We were back again in time for Steve's birthday, and a lovely dinner of free fish and chips due to a mix up! It was also great to see Kath as she was in town.
After Christmas day morning at Mum and Dad Okely's with present opening and a roast lunch we spent the afternoon at Shanhun's - Les's Christmas pudding was too good to refuse so I had to have some of that too.
We headed up to the Turnbull's for Okely extended family Christmas BBQ which was fun too! It was great to have Angela and Simon there (the newlyweds!) and see all the Okely rellies.
My dear friend Sarah got engaged to her boyfriend A Spencer on Christmas day so I flew back for the Engagement party on New Years day. On my arrival on New Years Day I got picked up from the airport in style as Dan and Amberley just got their very cool new XR6 and got to celebrate the new year and Lauren's 18th
We had our 20 week ultrasound and everything seems to be going well with the baby (or Pebble as it is currently known). We are really looking forward to our holiday down south as Phill has had a really busy year. We will be taking the 'scenic' route home to Kal via Margaret River, Albany, Esperance and a few places in between.
