I had an busy time in Canberra, learning lots at the conference and visiting various government agencies to see how they do records management. I got to do an extra afternoon sightseeing, as my flight via Melbourne was delayed because of the Queen, Commonwealth Games traffic etc., I got a direct flight 6 hours later with seat 1A in business class for my trouble. But oh my goodness I was fairly exhausted when I got into Perth at about 9:30ish!! I'd been up since 5:30am as I was bussing it back from Wagga Wagga. Then I managed to sleep 12hrs on Monday night/morning but was still a bit tired on Wednesday when I got back to work lol. Travel sure takes it out of you, but I'm back to normal now. :) Just in time for my hair trial for Ky's wedding. Which by the way turn out really well! :D

More excitement. Just when you thought nothing else could happen... I have engagement number 13 (among friends - don't worry you would know if it was me lol!), my friend had her first baby, I caught up with school friends at a barbecue, bought a new outfit for my graduation and more... once I get clearance I'll let you know of the other excitement.

So far in January... submissions finished the State Records Office and the Department of Treasury and Finance, coffee with friends, too much of the sea breeze (should make that the sea gale) at Mullaloo beach, a beautiful Venetian souvenir from my globe trotting pal, a new Jag Bag, the Australian Library and Information Association Award for Undergraduate Librarianship, a couple of Public Holidays, Planetshakers and just generally doing all sorts of fun stuff!

Christmas came and went

It was all over in the blink of an eye, but I have photos of a white dress, a robot, angel and lady of Trafalgar era to remind me of it. I also have a new journal, the Australian Tour version of Dynamite by Jamiropqui, beads, Oceanus Body shop gift pack, two gorgeus candle sets, 3 new cushions to add to the shabby chic look in my room, a new handmade handbag, a lovely Friends of Kings Park 2006 calendar and did I mention chocolate?

Oh and the furniture?

Well, my room is lovely and shabby chic now, I've got a matching beside table and dresser and my new bed. Mum's also given me a wicker chair to go with it. Now I just need to get myself some light blocking curtains, that summer sun is starting to wake me up too early!
