The Story of A Modern Day Resurrection

image

Sean George is a member of my old church in Kalgoorlie, and in October 2008, his life changed forever.

I was dead for 1 hour and 25 minutes but came back to life after my wife prayed a simple prayer. Here you'll find my story, my mission and how to contact me.

Read on

Such an amazing story. I was in Kalgoorlie at the time, and we were kept up to date by emails of his progress. Was my faith ready to believe he could come back from this? With all his mental capacities and body intact? But the medical evidence shows that he did!

Even if you don’t believe in miracles, this story is just incredible you have to see the videos.

A snippet of the story.

I hope it inspires you!

Create Art: Memory Logbook Challenge #37

20110908 Challenge 37_600

I love to create with paper and glue, ink, pencils and paint. I must have spent hours and hours on art and crafts over my life so far. I've also learnt that I should use my art items, not just let them sit around and wait years. When I was young I handed a barely used art set on to my sister after about five years. I have loved combining digital art and paper craft this year in my one little word album. I am certainly growing my skills, trying art journalling, creating a mini album and using many tools I've been holding on to for far too long!

New52: Illustrator #New52

Several months ago I purchased Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard, and it’s taken me until the 28th of July to even open up Illustrator. Here’s my first doodles with my awesome Wacom Bamboo Fun Tablet that I use full time!

image

I drew these using the blob tool and without even setting up the pressure sensitivity options. Since then I have opened up Illustrator to draw the background for a playgroup activity (oh yes, playgroup is a New52 for me too!) and can’t wait to use it again!

New 52 challenge is keeping me on my toes – but I’ve made it 9 months and 14 posts! I’m finding that looking out for new experiences is helping me appreciate that my life even more. I have to say I have many more draft posts, just waiting for me to finish them! Read more New 52 posts:

What’s new for you lately?

Scrap happy blog hop: Contemplate the heavens

scrap happy 3
I've been loving reading Stephanie's blog about the Scrap Happy project over at Scrapworthy lives, so I was thrilled when I found out she's got a blog hop going. You have probably found me from Kiss and Tell Scrapbooking.

This month the theme is:

Contemplate the Heavens

Boethius: “Contemplate the extent and stability of the heavens, and then at last cease to admire worthless things.”

Scrapbooking with a feeling of wonder helps me stay peaceful. Here’s a page I created back in 2008 in my early scrapbooking days. I love that over 3 years later I still love this page – the colours and sentiment have me ready for spring to bloom!

20080429 Almond Blossom photobook

This year our back yard doesn’t have an almond tree – in fact it looks a little like this:

Backyard

But a lot more level now! I must take more photos.

Want more of the Scrap Happy project? Head over to Scrapworthy Lives

Here’s the other blogs in the hop!

What keeps you focussed on the big picture? Let me know about it in the comments below.
